- Fast Pain Relief
- Usually only 1-6 Treatments
- Short therapy times of approximately 10-20 minutes
- Stimulates, activates and recruits stem cells
- May eliminate the need for painful surgery or pain killers
Focusing in on your pain:
The acoustic waves generated by the PiezoWave painlessly pass through the body and converge at a point deep with the soft tissue to produce intense, extremely short duration compression even. The focused acoustic compression is translated to tissue to provide a massage with pin-point accuracy to the affected area.
- 100% non-damaging to tissue and cells.
- Near-immediate pain relief in certain conditions.
- Improved sustained blood flow.
- Pin-pointed focused treatments and larger area treatments
- Real-time biofeedback guides application to problem areas.
- Results are transformational.
FAQ
What is PiesoWave2/Acoustic Compression Therapy & How It Works
Piezowave2, also known as shockwave therapy, is a myofascial acoustic compression technique invented by Richard Wolf, who developed a special device that uses precisely targeted sound waves to stimulate the musculoskeletal system underneath your skin. This Piezowave2 device sends thousands of sound wave pulses into a precisely targeted tissue or muscle, and works in tandem, resulting in stimulation that provides pain relief and leads to improved circulation in the targeted area triggering your body’s own natural healing processes. The PiezoWave2 delivers mechanical energy in the form of sound waves to target tissue, including tenocytes in tendons, fibroblasts in ligaments and skin, osteocytes in bone, chondrocytes in articular cartilage, and endothelial cells in blood vessels, which are all highly responsive to mechanical energy. The PiezoWave2 then localizes trigger points, delivering highly focused acoustic pulses that penetrate precisely to the desired depth. Penetration depths of between 0.5mm and 3 cm are possible, depending on the therapy source. This facilitates cellular repair by increasing blood flow and reducing pain. Extracorporeal shock waves have been used successfully in the treatment of chronic pain since the early ’90s in Europe. Further, MyACT/PiezoWave2 has been used in Germany for the past 23 years. New to the United States only a few years ago, the PiezoWave2 is now an FDA Registered Class 1 Modality.
I see other shockwave companies are they all the same?
Unlike other companies Piezowave2 has multiple treatment modes. We have capability for a focused targeted deep treatment and also a broad area treatment.

How Much Does It Cost?
Because treatment over several weeks is recommended, we offer package pricing to lower the single visit price. An individual session is $100, paid at the time of service.
Package Price:
3 sessions x $90 = $270
6 sessions x $88 = $510
10 session x $80 = $800
Is Piezowave2/Shockwave Therapy Safe?
What Happens During a Piezowave/Shockwave Treatment Session?
- Your clinician will identify the treatment site or sites.
- They will then apply a thin coat of coupling gel. This gel helps to translate the acoustic sound waves generated by the therapy head to the body.
- The clinician will start the treatment at a very low output setting and increase the power to a level that you help define and is best suited to your condition. The output level and acoustic wave frequency rate may vary from location to location based on the depth and type of tissue being treated.
- As the clinician moves the therapy source around the treatment area, you may feel deep, dull ache that is familiar to you as being like the feeling your condition produces. The clinician will ask you to report when you feel the ache and will adjust the output of the device to the appropriate level for your treatment. They may also ask you to confirm that the therapy source is still creating the ache and may adjust the location of the treatment based on feedback. If at anytime the treatment becomes comfortable, mention this to the clinician and they will adjust output.
- After the treatment is completed, the coupling gel will be removed and you can return to normal activities. You may experience some minor aches or discomfort after treatment. It is not unusual for patients to notice flushed or reddening skin around the treatment area.
- A typical PiezoWave2 treatment takes between 15 to 20 minutes.
- Normally, 1-2 treatments per week are performed.
- A total of 7-10 treatments may be necessary before lasting improvements are achieved.
- With acute pain, a single session is often successful.

Happy Patients

I’ve had fibromyalgia for years and struggled with chronic pain seeing one doctor after another. I’ve tried pills, shots, therapies, surgeries, all providing little to no relief. Once Dr. Bruce introduced me to PiezoWave therapy, I am happy to say that my treated areas are feeling tremendously better. I would high recommend trying this therapy at least once to see if it can help you too.

“I have had major scar tissue in my right forearm from a severe accident 10 years ago. Recently I have had shooting pains located by the scars and my local doctor’s advice was to not use my right arm for 10 weeks. However as an electrician I’m required to work with my hands on a daily basis. I tried the Piezo Wave session to help with the pain and inflammation. I have since had three sessions and the sharp shooting pains that were deliberating have subsided. My mobility and grip strength have come back to almost full capacity. Thank you Dr. Bruce for helping make work possible.”
